My Top 5 Favorite LEGO Sets: Noah

Hey everyone! Welcome to the first ever blog post here on our new Bricks + Builds site! Just to start it out nice and simple, I thought I'd share with you my top 5 favroite lego sets!

  1. The Delorean Time Machine (LEGO Icons #10300)

This set was gifted to me and it was one of my all-time favorites, mainly because it was an icon of the 80's and the car from my favorite movie, "Back to the Future!" Not only that, but the build quality is impeccible. The techniques employed allow for that iconic shape of the Delorean. It features opening gull-wing doors, extra accessories, as well as minifigures of Doc Brown and Marty McFly to display with it! Not only that, but if can be swapped between any version of the car from any of the three movies in the trilogy! I love this set, and it comes #1 in my book every single time.

  1. The Avengers Tower (LEGO Marvel #76269)

Out of all of the buildings in our Lego city, this one is by far the best. Standing above all other buildings at around 3 feet tall is the Avengers Tower, the staple landmark of the Marvel Comics world and the headquaters of the Avengers! This set is one of the tallest and largest we own with multiple levels of references from Marvel movies and TV shows! It comes with several iconic characters including Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America. With all of this jam packed into one set, would wouldn't love it?

  2. The Artemis Rocket (LEGO Technic #42221)

This set is definitely the smallest out of this list, but has one of the coolest features built into it! This small model of the Artemis I rocket is made entirely out of Technic Lego bricks, and features four little statue pieces that are printed to look like little NASA astronauts! Far and away the best feature of this set though is its ability to literally take off! Spinning a crank on the bottom platform allows for the rocket to shoot up and detatch from the booster rockets and accend farther upwards!

  3. The Jurassic Park T-Rex Skeleton (LEGO Jurassic World #76968)

This behemoth of a set comes in at just over 3 feet in length, and is one of the most detailed pieces I own. It is an outstandingly itricate model of a T-Rex skeleton, built to fit with the theme of the "Jurassic Park" movies! Coming in with two minifigures in total and several references to the original film, I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking for a challenge!

  4. The Effiel Tower (LEGO Icons #10307)

Last but most certianly not least, the largest set by piece count in my collection, the Lego Effiel Tower! Standing at just under 5 feet tall and containing over 10,000 pieces, this set was the most intricate I've ever built. While this set is a specticle to admire, I must admit finding myself getting bored with the build process. Every little detail started to feel repetative over time. But it all became worth it when I got to stand back and admire this beauty of a set!

What are your favorite LEGO sets? Any on your wish list that you can't wait to add to your collection?
